I just picked up 2 boxes of books from a Freecycler. Have to be 40-50 books in the set.

I have not yet gone thru them all but it looks like the whole childrens section of a used horse book store and mostly from the 40's and 50's
like:
A Cavalcade of American Horses
America's Last Wild Horse
Famous Horse Stories
Strawberry Roan

They are not in fabulous shape, but this is going to be so much fun to find out all of what's in there!

And it was all FREE!

My husband once came home from the dump with a box of classic dressage books, about 10 in all, including a couple of beautiful coffee table type books. He was in the habit of picking up stuff at the dump that he thought might be useful....so when he came home and said "look what I found at the dump" I said "and you can take it right back". Of course he said "okay, all these dressage books can go back then"

We figured maybe an ex horse husband was cleaning out the attic? In fact, I'm a little afraid to post this in case the ex wife sees it and says "hey, I want my books back"

OMG, I am so jealous... I collect kids' horse books (nostalgia for my childhood!) and that would be my dream find... why is nobody on my Craigslist giving stuff like that away?!?

I lucked into a bunch of lovely old C.W. Anderson books on Craiglist about a year ago. Got them for next to nothing :D
