I have gone through at least five pairs of riding gloves this year. I am pretty diligent about shoving them in either my helmet or grooming box after each ride, but some how they end up missing the next time I go to grab them.
So tell me, are there any special tips or tricks to fending off the glove gnome?

Well, I don't know about your glove gnome, but mine actually chews holes in my gloves. I do always have 2, since I put them in my helmet after every ride, but that darn gnome chews holes in the fingers. I swear it's not from overuse, it has to be that darn gnome. I will see if mine has any of your missing gloves that he can chew on..:)

My glove gnome likes soaking my gloves in either Coppertox or MTG... I just don't know how it happens because I find the bottles standing up, but my gloves are soaked. It's happened to two pairs, one of them was brand new. So now I have one brown glove and one green one. Sigh, at least now I don't get a green hand after I use them.

My riding glove gnome takes only right hand gloves and leaves me the left so I can remember how many gloves I've had to buy. At one point last year I had 6 left hand gloves with no mates.

I'm still mourning the loss of my fantastic fingerless gloves. They were awesome, but I can't find them anywhere, and the pairs I buy to replace them just aren't the same.

It's hanging out with the sneaky sock stealer.

The gnome is a Navy Seal who takes them to Rangely, ME, where they are put in a big box, along with the socks, for SERE training. (survival, evasion, resistance, escape - training - Jan. in ME) Giant box with mismatched socks and right hand gloves only.

Nah....You know that ring around the Planet Saturn? No, it's not gasses. It's lost gloves, socks and airline luggage.
