What horsey gift are you giving to your friends or family for the holidays? What do you hope to get this year?

My budget is tight this year so most horsey folks will get a heartfelt, personalized Christmas card about how much I appreciate their services and a special memory about them and my horse from the past year. If I can get my stuff together, I will take a cute holiday-themed pic of my horse or photoshop him into an existing Christmas card image, then get 50 free photo cards of him using this deal: http://terismessageboard.thegrocerygame.com/showthread.php?t=142167

The deal is good through November 30 so I need to hustle and make a design.

For professionals like farrier/vet/trainer, I haven't decided whether to give cash or go with something homemade. I might do a bean soup mix or an oatmeal cookie mix in cellophane with ribbon at the top--it's cheap and most people appreciate it. I thought about doing bath salts or soaps, but I have trouble picturing my farrier, vet, etc. taking a bona fide bath. Nor would I want to picture this.

In past years I have given single CFL light bulbs and used wire/ribbon to turn them into Christmas ornaments. It's the gift that keeps on giving. If you buy them in multi-packs at Sam's Club they're not very expensive.

I will be making Horse and Dog treats for most of my riding buddies! My two special riding friends will be getting personalized fleece saddle covers with their names on them (Ebay for less than $20!)

I hope to get some new Ariat Clogs from my boyfriend, or an engagement ring!
