My New Pony! Meet "Fievel" **Updated with Pictures of the little rascal!**

So I don't go pick him up for another 3 weeks (Dec. 5th), but I just sent in the deposit for my new pony and am really excited so I needed to share. :)

He's a coming 4y/o QH Grade gelding. Black, but greying out. Went to go see him last week, and what a sweetheart! Lunges well, has had a rider on his back a few times.

He needs work, but should be a really fun project for me this winter. I sadly had to retire my horse of a lifetime after ongoing knee issues, and we need a 2nd horse anyways since my wonderful BF is building me a barn in our backyard.

Meet "Fievel". This is the picture from his sale ad...will be sure to take lots more when I get him home. :)

Thanks guys! He's definitely a cutie. I really can't wait to go get him. For being only 3 1/2, and not having too much done with him, he was so calm. Let me pick up his feet, lunged well both directions, and tacked up great.

I really can't wait to start his training. I've always wanted a pony as a kid, and now at 26y/o, I finally have one. Lol.

Here's hoping that my 16.1 1/2h TB will be a big brother to him, haha. Vinnie's pretty good, so I can't wait until our barn's done and they are both home. :)

Haha, thanks. Have you ever seen the movie "An American Tail" about the mouse family moving west? The Mousekewitz's? The little mouse was named Fievel....and this pony was just seemed like a little Fievel. Hehe. :)

Soo, it's been almost 2 months now, and Fievel has really gotten a lot better since I first picked him up in the beginning of December! :)

After a betadine-bath, worming, vet visit (which, oh btw, he's not going to be 4 this year, he'll be 3....a late 3! Previous owner's were off, but I don't care, didn't change my decision!) , and lots of grooming....as well as lots more food to his diet, lol.....Fievel is starting to look & act like a real 2 1/2 year old!

This past Sunday, the pasture board situation changed, and he lives outside now 24/7 with my older TB gelding....and they get along great! Vinnie's a lot taller, it's so cute seeing them next to each other! I'm really glad, since they both will be moving home this spring to my backyard. :)

His ground manners are great....we've been doing a lot of work leading, backing up, turning on the forehand from the ground, walking over poles, having a saddle on, and basically starting to be a big boy. :D

These are some pics I took a few weeks ago. I really wish I had gotten around to taking pics when he first arrived, because even though he still needs a lot more weight and growing, he looks 10x better than the day I got him. He still has some bald spots from his rain rot and wounds.

I bought him pretty much as a pity case, but even if he isn't perfect, I already really love him...he's such a ham. Very in your business, but not pushy. Loves people. I can't wait to back him this spring/summer!
