Has anyone had to send their Monacos back to Ariat and if so what was the outcome?
I have had mine about 6 months and ride one horse in them 4-5 days a week. Both boots are streched out, bunching and now there is a HOLE in one! I have to drop mine off at the tack store tomorrow but they are not saying if anything will be done. With the price of the boots and the usage I am hoping they will at the least fix them, free of charge. I am just concerned that it is a wasted effort.
Has anyone had a similar problem with theirs?

I really have no idea about the sending them back to Ariat, so I wont be of much help. BUT, I always thought the Monaco was made to be a show boot. I know the leather is VERY soft. Because of this, I dont think that they were really made to stand up to 4-5 days a week of riding.:confused: Im just guessing though.... Good Luck, I hope you get the problem fixed! :)

I haven't had the Monaco, but I had a pair of Ariat field boots and the zipper broke after about a year, I sent them back and got a brand new pair of boots! I explained that I had a time crunch (upcoming show) and they got the new boots in the mail to me pretty quickly. I think I probably had the new pair within 2-3 weeks of calling.

I have a set too, and each boot is starting to have a tiny tiny hole where the stitching has ripped. I'm not sure if it's because they were fitted incorrectly, or just a defect.
That being said, the leather is so thin that they really seem to be a "special occasion" boot. I only use mine for shows and clinics.
It seems to me like they might take that stance? Although I guess it's really not their place to say how often you ride in something you bought from them.
I hope that they fix them for you!

I figured since the leather was so thin they were only for shows or clinics - I never just wear mine to ride (although I love them way more than my half chaps!). Hopefully Ariat will do something for you though; it doesn't seem right that they only lasted as long as they did.

Ariat is pretty good about standing behind their products if they haven't been abused.

I thought they looked pretty thin for everyday riding too. I'm making my kid 'save' hers for shows and clinics only. She has her old boots, nice chaps, and half chaps for everyday stuff.

I don't know specifically about these boots but anything made of "baby" calf will not be especially durable although its the thinness that gives them their comfort and softness. I know from ordering custom boots that unless you can afford to replace them frequently you are better off buying regular French calf, which offers greater durability. It sounds as though the Monaco boots are baby calf.

The Monacos are a show boot not an everyday boot. I know SO many people (trainers and amateurs) who rushed out and bought them and rode in them everyday and everyone wore through them in a couple months. I believe this is how Monaco markets them. As the ultimate show boot or something like that.

I have a pair but only wear them for shows. No issues, but they certainly aren't seeing the use the OP's boots are!

i've never had monacos but i know i have a nice pair of ariat half chaps that after being ridden in three times the snap on each one just broke off. people i know have also had problems with their boot zippers... seems to me ariat is getting shoddy with their work.

I had my Monacos for six months before a hole started in the seam on the side of the boot. I was so upset because they're so expensive and I love them so much!
When another hole started in the stretch part on my other boot, I called Ariat. They told me to return to the store I purchased them from and that store would send my boots back for repair. Mine were unrepairable but they did send me new ones!! :) I would call Ariat and see what they can do.
I also never wear mine every day....I only save my Monacos for shows.
