ummm let's see the Welsh people have been doing it on record since at least 1913;)

There are many dealers and agents bringing ponies to the US already. Warmblood ponies from Europe, mt and moorland breeds from the British Isles, s. american breeds of ponies, there are even some Caspian Horses in the US.

There are always going to be people importing ponies. As far asd my breed, the German Riding Pony, I think it slowed down alot with the economy. Not to mention in any breed once there are quality breeders, there is less reason to pay the high price of importation unless you are looking for a special bloodline, etc.
