Der Dau Spinoff: Anyone tried the new Der Dau Contour boots yet?

Has anyone tried Der Dau's off the shelf contour field/dress boot yet? What are they like? Im trying to decide between those or a pair of Sergio Grassos for Christmas. Which route would you go?:)

The Contour is a fabulous boot for the price. Only thing I noticed about them is that the ankles run big and they aren't extra tall. The Italian leather is as nice as they come. Try Brown Beauty Equestrian for a good price.

I have them and love them. The leather quality is great and they broke in after a few days of riding in them. I think they look lovely on and gotten quite a few compliments on them.

If it helps, here are a few pics of them on me. I think the ankles are bigger than most zippered boots but nothing terrible. I like the look of a bit of wrinkle in the ankle. I think they are a hair too short, but then again, if they were much taller I wouldnt be able to ride in them because the back of hte leg would but over the back of my knee. I think I'm just too picky...

I am looking in to getting a pair of Der Daus with the alligator trim. Where will they be measuring anytime soon?
