Curious because I need to order flea topicals this week. Last time I used Advantix and it did work, but I have cats in the househould. The cats got Advantage and it seemed to work well on them....so, if people are having luck with it/dogs I would just rather get the same thing for both.

Fleas have been horrendous here in NC this year:mad:

I generally switch my dog to Advantage in the wintertime when ticks are less of a problem. It's less expensive, and works really well. It has also recently been re-labeled and is now "waterproof," just like Frontline.

I have 10 cats and 6 dogs, and I swear by Advantage.

Advantage is working in my house!
We had a flea infestation, so i bathed every critter and let the suds sit, swept and mopped with bleach and permethrins, and then treated every critter with Advantage. We are now happily flea free!

For the past two years, the only thing that has helped keep our house "almost" flea free is Advantage. We had two cats (until this last week - lost one) and a small dog. We dusted our yard with Diazanon (sp?) and between that and the Advantage, it really helped.

Another vote for advantage. Works great here.
