hi, who has used the mikmar bits? What do you think? helpful? What about in young horses? I'm looking at the full cheek snaffle with the cupreon meeting and little pc. in the middle.
Thanks!

I've never tried the snaffles but had great results using the combo bit on a mare that would pull like a freight train. She turned into a nice soft, supple horse. Also use the tom thumb pelham on my current mare with good results. I hack her in the combo bit occasionally to tune her up, she loves the rollers on the bits!

i like them, but im not sure on a young one, that just seems like a lot in their mouth, unless they have been going in something simpler and are having problems?

I used one for a short while. It was one of the more "western" style with a shank. Although my horse went very well in it, he absoultely hated it. Went from easy to bridle to head in the air, teeth clamped shut. I decided I couldn't do that to him anymore if he detested it so much so sold it to someone else. He goes in a swivel shanked Myler with the comfort mouth just fine. But I digress...
If you horse likes it, it works pretty good for a horse that pulls.
