Can anyone compare the Holiday Inn in Lake Worth to the Hampton Inn in Wellington? Pros/Cons? Or do you have other suggestions?

Hampton Inn is wonderful. 5 min away from show grounds. Nothing bad to say about it and I've stayed there many times.

Hampton Inn is great, the one in Wellington is right near the show grounds, but the price can get up to $400/night. If you go to the Hampton Inn at Lake Worth, its usually $250/night (during season) and its 1 minute more to the show grounds (I've timed it :) )

hampton in in wellington is about 360 a night!! ouch, lake worth is 240ish, and I had already booked several long weekends at the Holiday Inn for 160 a night. Just hear that many prefer the Hampton, not sure which one though.

Has anyone stayed at the Holiday Inn to compare? Is it real awful?

The Holiday Inn wasn't terrible when I stayed there a few years ago, but it was right off the turnpike exit so it wasn't just the horse show crowd staying there and just wasn't as nice as the Hampton Inn. Also a little bit less convenient; it's nice being right next to the Mall at the Hampton Inn. But I've stayed at far worse hotels for horse shows.

True, the Holiday definetley isn't as nice, but it would be hard, as the Hampton Inn's are maybe 3 years old? and VERY VERY nice, clean, granite & hardwood, and the owner (whose name is escaping me at the moment) is a very nice person as well.

been playing online since i started this thread, so If I moved to the Hampton Inn in Lake Worth, is that the one near the mall, and somewhat still close to the horse show? I have never been to the show so have no idea about the area. Thanks again

The Lake Worth Hampton Inn is right next to the Holiday Inn, I've never stayed in it so I'm not sure how it compares. The Wellington one is next to the mall and is very nice, but again they know their market and as such charge ridiculous prices.

Lake Worth isn't bad, stayed there for a weekend last year. Its right off the highway and there is some decent food around the area.

yeah, those prices are insane for a horse show! (well for me at least!!) But I want nice! ;) Just canceled all the Holliday Inn rooms for the Hampton, and honestly, with AAA, it was only about 40 bucks more per weekend!! Thanks everyone for your help!
