from another list:
DE state had commented that there is not enough interest from equestrians
for continuing to have trails open for horse activities. They are planning
to close some state trails and making them biker/hiker access only. This
survey has been out for awhile and only 7% of registered horse owners had
completed it by the summer. DEC placed it on their website and we are up to
31%. The state feels that if they don't get over 50% participation from
horse owners then they will start converting the trails we use now to
non-horse use. I have enclosed the link to the surveysite.

When you get to this page it is in the upper left corner. It only takes
about 6 minutes to do. Please send this out to all horse owners to fill
out. We want more trails not no trails. This survey has not been well
publicized and only thru the DEC did I find out about it. Of course the
state would of considered more horse trails if we were over the 50% mark
early in the survey. Now we'll be lucky to keep the ones we have.
It does ask for a zip code at the end. I think it has to be a Delaware one
to count. This survey has been extended for another week. Please fill it
out now.
Thanks
