Meet Shamalee Bakkir my new 08 Straight Egyptian colt.

It was love at first sight and I just had to have him.

I would love to know what you guys think of him as a propect. Don't worry about offending me. I really don't know much about his lines. But I'm learning and I think for a newbie to the breed I did well.

Here are some pictures of him:

Really cute and nice bloodlines. Fasten your seatbelt!

Very elegant looking :) I didn't look at the bloodlines, because I wouldn't have a clue. But I do have a soft spot for grey arabs, since my daughters first horse, Springvale Abuzzar was the best horse on the planet.

I wish you many years of joy and fun with your new boy.

Thanks guys.

So you think he'll have lots of gas in the tank? I can see that - as he sort of bounces when he walks. Not a trot, not a jig, just a happy little spring to his step. He is very sweet and well handled. Loved having a stranger paying special attention to him. Bakkir even let me pick up all four feet out in the field without being held or tied.

He's coming on Saturday - I can't wait to play with him.

LOVE his pedigree. Wow, he is straight egyptian.

Did you win the lottery? He is really!!! nice.

And, a mere babe. We didn't know you were expecting! Just think, no labor pains, just waiting pains, and you had a grey!

Grow him slow!

Congrats!!!!!!

I very much love egyptians. They really try hard, and most all have a tent personality. I have not found a hot egyptian. They seem to be happy to do what you want, they want to get along, and they want to be with you.

Your guy has MANY famous a GREATs in his pedigree. Wow.

good luck with him! He is going to be a beauty when he grows, but he is now already.

Honestly I feel like I stole him from his breeder. He was half the stud fee. I knew he was the deal of a life time so no haggling. I just had to have him.

Shamalee Arabian's is up in Paisley, Ontario. MY GOD the horses there are stunning.

Grow him slow is right - he'll be a late bloomer. I am really really tempted to keep him a stallion.

If I win the lottery I'm buying his dam too. She is for sale in foal (I forget the Sire's name). I love this mare. Stunning girl with the kindest temperment. And she has great legs. The breeder has a couple of mares and a stunning filly for sale too. If anyone is interested, you can PM me and I will put you in contact. I don't have her permission to post her details, but I am sure she would be very happy to place her horses in other endurance homes. It would also maybe preserve her breeding program which would be a real shame to lose.

Her sire was famous - RZA Orient Express

And this stunning boy is Bakkir's Sire MB Ibn Sehnab - his stud book was only open to outside mares for 2007.

Isn't it amazing what a horse lover can learn in 2 weeks ;)
