Life After EPM - Hind End Weakness/Stifles

Have any of you had your horse not come back 100% after EPM, caught early. My wonderul App gelding, two years post EPM still has a hard time cantering a 20 meter circle. I'm beginning to feel mean/cruel even asking it of him.

Have any of you pushed through it or just moved on to other things?

Have you also considered dietary changes? Have you checked his Selenium level? Very important, along with Vit E, for muscle development and health. Think along the lines of EPSM now.

Beyond that, yes, some horses do sustain permanent damage.
