So my mare's due Feb. 22. She's by Rousseau out of a Rubinstein mare and is bred to a Brentano II stallion. Obviously the foal has to have a "B" name. I'd like to somehow incorporate the Rousseau angle into the foal's name. Would like to get filly and colt name suggestions.
Thanks!

Will definitely take that into consideration for a colt. How is it pronounced, long O or short?

Well, if the stallions name is pronounced like the philosopher it would be
roo-SOE. You could pronounce it broo-SOE?

Ok this isn't my most brilliant idea but it keeps rattling about so I'll put it out there...maybe someone can expand on it.
Since "Rousseau" makes most people think of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, the French philosopher (at least those outside of the horse world) you could play on that with a name like "B in Philosophy", then pick a barn name for a colt or a filly.

What about "Be Enlightened"? Following the same vein as Piatt Farms above (Rousseau was an enlightenment philosopher).

Not related to philosophy, but how about Bernoulli? Bernouilli was a mathmetician, famous for the Bernoulli principle used in fluid mechanics.
