Just when you thought it was safe to put away the duct tape, plywood, and bailing buckets...
Hurricane Ida (http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at1+shtml/084514.shtml?5-daynl#contents) is expected to reach Category 2 strength as she enters the Gulf Of Mexico. At the moment they think she'll be down to a tropical Storm by the time she reaches our Gulf Coast. However, conditions are unstable in the Gulf, so keeping a weather eye in her direction is definitely a good idea!

It's the only time the National Hurricane Center put my town on their prediction map-I think there's a big red X marking us.

Oh, Joy.
We're almost 11" ahead for the year, now. I wonder if Noah still has the 'prints for the Ark.

oh please- it's a Cat 1 and falling apart in cold water. This is no big deal. Hasn't rained here in central AL in 10+ days, this is fine weather and some rain is no biggie.
LA calling a state of emergency is a huge cry wolf situation. Ridiculous.

Bleh... It's raining out here lightly and I'm about 5 miles from Mobile Bay. If it hits strongly, we get the day off of work tomorrow and Wed is a Holiday. WOOT! If I knew this was going to happen I would've stayed in MO with my hunnie and flew back Wed night.
