Sabine -
Congratulations. I have followed your posts on this and other bb's for a long time and have developed great respect for your knowledge and expertise. It's wonderful to see your efforts rewarded in this way. That you have 1) produced an approved stallion, and 2) that he will remain at Schockemöhle's, is a testament to the success of your program. Bravo! and Prost!!

Wow...proud you should be...but Fannie Mae has a damline that I love too!! I tried to buy a Frulingsball mare a few years ago...to die for mover, and so was her daughter by Olympic Ferro. Keep up the terrific work and dreams that come true.

Congratualtions Sabine!!
I have long admired your writing and thoughts on breeding certain bloodlines.
I can only imagine the pride you must have in him. This is the validation of yearsof breeding and planning. Seeing one of your own "kids" make it as a stallion or even one to go to the top of sport.

Congratulations Sabine on his Licensing.
What was his number? I watched the Live-streaming of the Premium Ring yesterday and saw there was a Sir Donnerhall in it and also a full brother to Floriscount, but this Sir Donnerhall was not black.
I tried to find the video of the colt you bred, but only numbers are listed, no bloodlines.

Congratulations Sabine.........I know how you feel! Isn't it a great feeling to have bred such a wonderful youngster? I am still in awe of Statesman......don't know if I will ever top that!
ann, that's exactly what i thought, too...
so blown away...
but you know:
we all live our dreams and i guess we just need to keep it going - there's so much more to come and gain for for each of us as long as we believe in what we are doing and go for it - it's so inspiring!
next sunday (easter) van olst will host their stallion show at heir barn in the netherlands and of course i will go see "my" sansibar under saddle - can't wait ...
@ back in the saddle:
yes, PS still owns him. i understand van olst do a lot of cooperation with PS and it makes sense for both parties involved: PS owns so many stallions and can't stand them all at stud himself. that way he doesn't loose control over certain prospectuses he might want to further develop and more of his stallions have a chance to prove themselves in breeding (for the good or the bad- as you only ever know afterwards...). what makes it interesting to me is to see production on a completely different mare base, specially since the netherlands have developed their succesful dressage horses mainly from jumping lines. and sansibar carries a lot of [double oriented] jumping blood in his pedigree, too (frühlingsball, ramzes via radetzky, romadour, werther, furioso and the entire damlie of sir donnerhall).
