I do believe this gentleman owns him and could tell you how his offspring are doing.

Sooo much knee action for a hunter.

He would not be my pick for a hunter. I'm not saying it isn't possible for him to produce a hunter, but I would not breed to him with that goal in mind.

You can get one with a hunter mare. He has a few out there. But they all jump so well with these canters you can set your clock by, their owners usually put them in the jumpers.

I recall a thread about Lotus T awhile back. Perhaps you can search it.

He is a lovely boy, but the knee really kills the whole picture for me as well. Not on the top of my list for a hunter sire. That said, with the right mare that moved very well, maybe...

Take a good hunter mare to Lotus and I am sure you will not be displeased with what he produces. Take an average mare to Lotus and the foal will be better than the mare.

I have seen quite a few Lotus offspring and most very nice, a few were outstanding, and in each of those cases of outstanding offspring, I also liked the mare very much.

What do a few comments prove? Not a lot. Lots has a classic jumping style, very athletic jumper. That knee action you may criticize in his trot is awesome when he is in the air.

I've seen quite a few Lotus T babies. They can jump and they are scopey, but they do have a TON of knee action.

Personally, they are not my cup of tea if you are looking for a hunter prospect.

The Youtube videos really showed why he shouldn't be bred for hunters. Too bad but jeez it's hard to overcome that movement. The first baby really toed out in front also. He seems like a nice jumper stallion.
