Stallion Hungarian Epic??

We are in the process of finding ourselves another KWPN mare to add to our program. In my travels, I've come across a lovely mare by Darwin (Roemer x Pion) out of a KWPN approved mare by Hungarian Epic. The mare is exactly what we are looking for in terms of conformation, size, movement etc... but I don't know much about Epic. From what I've been able to find, he competed at the FEI level but to what degree I'm unsure?
Oddly enough, I rode and competed a Hungarian Epic gelding during my YR days, but I never paid much attention to his breeding at the time. He was a lovely horse, great mover, super work ethic.

Anybody know much about Epic??

I remember a little about Epic as he used to live near me at one time. He sired quite a few Hungarians and x's while he lived out here. Good amateur friendly offspring. I can't remember him ever competing though, but that was a very long time ago, I was just a teenager back then.... Why don't you fire off an email to someone from the BC sporthorse and sportpony breeders association, I'm SURE that someone will be able to give you some info on this stallion as everyone around here in BC knew him back then.

I rode one of his offspring when I was a teenager. He was a really beautiful, nice moving horse, but EXTREMELY spooky and difficult for his experienced amateur owner and very often lame.
That said, Darwin offspring that I have known have all been wonderful in the temperament department, so that's a good thing.
