Hello COTHers! I read this forum obsessively everyday trying to learn as much about breeding of sport horses as I can. It can be hard to sift out the information I am looking for but I mostly just want to be educated for receational purposes. I am not a breeder and I currently don't own a horse as Im a busy student and finances won't allow both:sadsmile: I try to cross reference the information I find here with other warmblood breeding information and articles on the internet to the best of my ability.
I am curious to hear the knowledgable warmblood people here give me some pedigree history on a horse. Id like to hear more about these lines, With potential for performance as well as reproducing. I am especially interested in the dam lines as they seem to be very important in mares. This is a mare owned by a woman I groom for in the summers and have helped in the barn for years. This is the first mare she's ever owned and its kind of exciting that maybe one day she might breed her! Id also be interested to know if you guys consider her a "old type" or more modern WB? She's not too refined in a "feminine" way :) But she's beautiful under saddle, and is quite laid back and teachable. She is currently a dressage horse but I'm under the impression a lot of the stallions in her pedigree are jumpers? Polydor? Contender?
Also I've read a lot of different opinions on Sandro Hit and using him as a sire. How do people think he fares as a dam sire? Here is her pedigree.

Please let me know what you think good and bad. The mare's owner and I have been having fun looking more into histories and pedigrees so I figured Id try and utilize this resource and see what you guys have to say! Thanks again in advance. Hopefully one day her mother will be asking for stallion suggestions!

I just realized I can't post pics but maybe someone could inform me how to link to some?? thank you
