I'm coming up with my "wish" list and need a new belt to wear at shows/clinics. I think I want leather...any good ideas? [links are appreciated]
TIA!

Smartpak has some nice selections, like the fancy stitched belt. I just got my new one from a Western Wear store, its a Tony Lama, and is beautifully tooled but not blinged out :D

I love the way Ed Hardy belts look with low-rise britches. Many juniors and amateurs (even in their '50s) wear them to clinic and show in Northern CA.

Smart Pak has a cute belt that I've been eyeballing for a while now.

I'm not a fan of that gaudy blingy junk, even the buckle on this one is kind of pushing it for me, but I like the little horseshoes. I need all the luck I can get!

Quillins leather in Kentucky makes simple belts and there name plates they put on them are really cool.
I got a halter for my yearling and I love the name plate. I am thinking about getting a belt for me too. I just have so many belts already!

what style do you like?
i wear ribbon belts primarily, but i wear a simple brown tory leather one with the brass stirrups on them for classics and when i wear my rust outfit.
i DO really like the brighton belts though! i'm too cheap to buy one, but they've got hundreds, and there's simple ones and very extravagant ones. go on their website (brighton.com) and look around. they are pricey, but if you want to splurge, that's what i'd spend the money on.

You can never go wrong with a simple leather belt with room to add nameplates. It's a classic, it's conservative, and it goes with every jacket/shirt/breech/etc.
cindeye, please tell me you are kidding about the Ed Hardy belts? Maybe it's a West Coast thing.... For me: Ed Hardy=Jon Gosselin=Douchebag. LOL.

Many of the kids here in CA are wearing the Ed Hardy belts. DD won money to a vendor in Pebble Beach for one of her first places and used the money to buy an Ed Hardy belt that she loves. She also has a brown leather belt that has stitching on it like you find on bridles that is cute.
