I got bored taking pictures of the cats so I went down to the barn to feed an pick out stalls.

Hmm....it's snowing inside Shelby's stall. This can't be good:

Nope, not good at all. She won't be using her door for awhile.

That's okay with her, so long as there is hay:

Meanwhile, Desi takes a plunge through his wall of snow, and then tries to eat it:

He's bored and wants to play his favorite game of "Betcha can't grab my tongue."

Tanager has just had lunch and it's time for his ritual fence-licking, but this time with frosting:

Jazz would like to know when he will be finished so she can go back inside:

And my project for the next couple of days::o

Great pictures. Your horse is too cute! I love the one of her eating the snow pile.
We are moving to Utah with in the next year, so I'm sure our back yard will very similar! Big change from the 80 degree weather we're having today!!

Fabby pics. Love the first one of Desi. He's all like 'What do I do now?'

I could barely click on the photos... knowing that will be WNY in another month!!

Stalls are definitely a necessity when you get that kind of snow! Looks like your ponies are all tucked in to weather out the storm....

Is Santa going to bring you a snow blower?

Is Santa going to bring you a snow blower?

I was just dreaming about a snow blower last week. Maybe if I am a very good girl...

You used "fun" and "blizzard" in the same sentence?????? I think the high altitude has fogged your brain!

Great pics though. And I'm stealing myself for the same scene in a few short weeks. Blech. Make that a double Blech!!

OK, I no longer feel sorry for myself that it was 40 degrees at 6 am today.

Did Tanager's tongue get stock to the bars, like in that Christmas movie?

Thank you Larkspur, you've made me feel better about the weather here. So far the snow is mostly in the air and not on the ground.

Anything I can do to help.

FP, Tanager's tongue didn't stick to the fence, but he wrote his name in the snow with his weewee.

Aargh! Hard to look at that white stuff, knowing it will be like that here pretty soon. However, today was not raining for the first time in over a week and it was mild, light jacket weather. Got to ride my boy, ground drive the pony, dry out the blankets a bit, and scoop the worst of the poop out of the paddock. Life is good, LOL.

My thoughts exactly!!

I love the pics of Tanager licking the metal fence! I think I would be worried that he would end up reenacting a certain scene from "A Christmas Story" though... hehe :)

I was just listening on the radio to how you guys got some early snow. I'm jealous! There's something great about the first snow. Desi and and his snow bites are the best!! :) thanks for sharing.

OMG!!!

It's due to be 72 here tomorrow with a low at night of 47. I am sitting here in leggings and a t-shirt just now. Now I remember why I moved to TX :-)

Great photos though!!!
