Yes, you're not mistaken, he's a TB and has only been off the track two months. The gentleman in the pictures with him is his groom.

I swore I'd never, ever, nuh-uh, ptooey! own a TB, much less an ex-racehorse. You know what they say about never say never...... :uhoh:

JJ is being trained as my foxhunter prospect. I'm already in love, as are the majority of people at my trainer's barn.

I picked him up and delivered him to my trainer yesterday. As I expected, she also thinks he's all that and a bag of Cheetos!

15.2 h of 'pay attention to me, I'm too cute to resist'!

I thank his owner profusely for giving him to me, and also thank the COTH member who put me in touch with her. JJ is a rare find, and I can't believe my absolutely pefect luck in finding him.

I promise to try and be worthy of the trust his previous owner has placed in me, and I will do everything in my power to make sure JJ has a long and happy life with me.

Congratulations Arabhorse! He's a cutie! You will not regret your OTTB! They are the BEST!

I have one who could be his twin brother, except he only has socks on the hind. But the same dark chestnut with so much black in the mane & tail that they look almost like a bay. Cool coloring.

Wouldn't they look cute in a pairs class!

He IS cute! But I don't think he's a rare find for an ex -race horse--many of them are full of personality and love their people! I don't mean any offense by that at all. Just saying that I have known quite a lot of them and they have all been absolutley wonderful, loving, & willing horses. Under saddle and on the ground. I betcha JJ will be one too!

No offense taken, Dispatcher.

I just meant I feel I'm lucky for me to have found him.

If the majority of TBs are like JJ, then I can see why they have such a fan base.

Trev, unfortunately I can't see your boy's picture. Facebook is 'banned' here at work, drat the luck.

Welcome to the wonderful world of OTTBs!! This is how they drag you in; you get one, find out they are usually NOT like the stereotype, then one day you realize you NEED another...:winkgrin:

Congratulations...I would have fallen for that cute face myself. :)
