Has anyone dealt this this? I have emptied the canister and the bag inside and made sure the little filter is clean but suddenly the suction is much less than what is should be.
Help!

Are you sure the hose doesn't have a clog of something stuck in it?
Did you miss another filter?
Those 2 things are usually my "duh" moments when what you described happens.

What type/brand is it?
I have one of those blue things on wheels (electro-groom). It has two motors, and mine lost some suction when one of the motors needed replaced. Perhaps your motor is shot.

Aside from the ideas already mentioned, is it possible that the hose couplings are worn out or cracked? Duct tape might mitigate the problem if so. Check where the hose attaches to the vacuum and also where the hose attaches to the grooming head.
