After all of the drama in my post last night, would you give him any ventipulmin today at a reduced dose? I'm just so confused. He is still breathing a bit heavily, which he's been doing since the beginning (which prompted the ventipulmin). If I don't give it to him this morning and have to give it to him tonight then I might be up until 3 am at least again this morning and have to work tomorrow! I guess I'm just so confused...

I persaonally would go to the smaller dose and give it to him after the better part of 24 hours has gone by.

I usually give the full dose (12cc for my draft cross) twice daily if he is having symptoms. If that doesn't take care of the symptoms, it is time to at least think about dexamethasone. We usually end up giving a few days of dexamethasone once or twice a year.
If you are needing to use Ventipulmin for days on end, talk with the vet again to figure out a new plan.

I guess I am not understanding why people are not dosing using the guidelines?
They have been posted, and also are on the bottle.
To OP, I guess in light of the vet you have, and your horse's response, I'd go with the package directions.
I have also had my horse given a shot of dex by the vet to jump start things so to speak.
But on the second bout, I just did the ventipulmin(clenbeuterol).
