Okay, so i was just chastised on the Racing forum about asking if anyone knew about Storm Days get making it as hunters...apparently they don't appreciate non-racing questions over there. So....anybody here have a Storm Day horse as a hunter?

I've got a 5 year old - SD's first crop. He is to die for, esp his canter, and can jump the moon. I event, but my A circuit hunter buddy (a/k/a the hunter princess) is forever threatening to steal him.

HAHA! My filly is coming 5, and the thought of her trying to race makes me laugh. She is as deliberate and fancy as they come, but at HER speed. Which is slow. I doubt she would make an eventer but am hoping she will be a hunter one day!

Oh, they aren't that bad over there.
But you are asking about a still youngish sire and it takes years to establish a record for offspring that, really, don't do that much in the show ring until they are 6 or so. So, he'd really need 10 or 15 years worth of babies that went to the Hunter ring to make any kind of decision on how they did.
The majority of Hunter people don't care about the breeding and don't keep track, nice novelty if you know who they are, but not anything that guides purchasing, we keep saying, we don't do breed, we do what they can lay down over the jumps in the ring. All the rest is unimportant because that's what they are judged on.

mmm, my guy can be a little opinionated himself, but he can gallop, and likes it. Here he is (if the link works) at his second HT

Not too shabby, form-wise. He's a blast.
