I know there have been threads, but I can't find them. I had wanted to switch to just the ration balancer, but after meeting with the pennfield rep this a.m., she ran the program they have and my boy still wouldn't be getting enough to benefit from the RB alone. He's been a pretty easy keeper and I have cut his current ultium to half of what he should get(therefore, he doesn't get all the necessaries in his daily feeding program), so that is why I am looking to change. So, she suggested the cool-n-lite. And for my hard keeper, ulcery prone aged mare, the Senior feed(she is on the ultium too and has been eating all she will eat, which is luckily the required amt. of ultium---she just isn't gaining weight on it like she used to. If you have input, experience with or are able to navigate to get to the previous threads, please share your info with me as I am going nuts with what to do. Thank you for input :-0.

I feed Cool N Lite to one of my horses.....she's prone to gas colic and also an easy keeper. I went with Cool and Lite because the horses get all they need with 2 or 3 pounds of grain per day. I supplement this with Platinum Performance, Beet Pulp and Alfalfa cubes. I've been really pleased with both Cool and Lite and Fibergized Omega ( I use this one on my older TB)

The Cool and Lite is a beautiful feed...it looks like flaked cereal

Edited..at first I freaked out when I was told Cool and Lite was 32 percent NSC...but then after some wonderful COTHERS gave me the formula to figure out NSC per pounds....it actually came out less than the Blue Seal LS that I was feeding (17 percent NSC)
