Elbow surgery and afterwards????

I have to have elbow surgery for tendonitis in Dec, my tendon is torn and will be resected. Can anyone tell me what the recovery time is? I've had carpal tunnel and it wasn't bad at all.

How long before I can ride, clean stalls and do general horsey stuff?

My brother is having surgery on his elbow tomorrow and is planning on skiing in Co for Christmas....

Wow, that's good news. From what I am told, I will have the tendon cut and reattached with healthy tendon. A totally different surgery than carpal tunnel. I'm not sure skiing is as strenuous as lifting a tail gate or jumping, but probably close.
