I work in a tack shop and we always have a small posting in the whip section on legal length of whips. Heretofore, it's just been dressage rules, but I want to also post the eventing rules as I have been a volunteer at bit check at our local schooling shows with scissors in hand for those with whips exceeding the max. Some opt to drop, others cut!

I'm aware that dressage length is now 47.2 inches (120 cm) with a fairly recent rule change. Eventing rules are still 43.3 inches (110 cm). Any indication that the eventing dressage whip length may change?

Thanks,

SD

There is nothing in the current crop (pun intended) of Eventing rule change proposals that would change that. So I would expect it to stay at the current length through 2010 and probably 2011.
