To create another user ID for a "legitimate" purpose like Secret Santa (tee hee), you just register (http://www.chronicleforums.com/Forum/register.php) a new account, for which you'll need an email address other than the one you use for your regular account.

If you've done Secret Santa before and still have your old account from a previous year, send me a PM from that account and we can update the name for this year if you'd like.

For general information, creating an alter in order to stir up trouble on the site, for stealth advertising purposes, etc., is NOT appropriate and can result revocation of posting privileges for all associated accounts. Using one for elfing or to provide some anonymity for a sensitive question, etc., is generally fine.

LearnToFly, send me a PM from your elfin alter and we'll get your age straightened out for you. ;)
