Dexamethasone

A friend and I were talking about Dex. I always have the powder on hand. She has the liquid. I couldn't remember, but thought my vet always administered it IV not IM.

So, the question is....do you give the liquid IV or IM and can you just put it in their mouth?

I have a horse at my farm that gets 5cc of the liquid in her food each day per the vet.
As for injection, I have always given it IV

Friend and I each have a horse on the liquid and it is put in the feed. Was never instructed to inject it. Started at 7cc a day and now down to 5cc every other day.
