Early updates from Pau: Jan Bynny is in third on a 48, about halfway through the dressage. Coverage is a bit spotty online, but Allison Springer is blogging on her website (http://allisonspringer.com/live/ ) and the Pau website has links to live scoring ( http://www.event-pau.fr/fr ). FEI tv is claiming that it will broadcast XC live as well.(http://www.feitv.org/page/Home?WT.mc_id=feipau728x90 ).

Also if you go to the main Pau page there is a little button that says "I speak English" which takes you to the English version of the site.

could the horse have been randomly drug tested and failed for something?

Could be some kind of problem with the equipment she was using, or the judge thought her horse wasn't sound... there are a few ways to get eliminated, I'm sure someone will hear soon enough what it was in her case.

Just to throw this out there, even if he had been randomly drug tested there is no way they would have the results back to eliminate her already. Those tests take several weeks. Something probably happened where they thought he was unsound in the test and had a vet examine afterwards (which would be a little odd with the jog just yesterday), he had an illegal piece of equipment (i.e. incorrect bit, had a tail wrap still on, bell boots on), or she did something illegal they caught her on (walking him without a number or some such thing). She is good about blogging regularly so I am sure she will write something soon to clear it all up.

Maybe he just objected to the arena and left!

I clicked on that, and still got French text.

He didn't look quite right in the test and ultimately the GJ eliminated him:
