View Full Version : Breeding stocks size

I want to build breeding stocks for next year's breeding season and I would need to know what height/lenght/width are ideal (WB mares).

Here's an example of what I'm building : http://www.equine-reproduction.com/courses/location/Stocks.jpg

Measure your equine vets or an equine breeding farms.

You will need to make the rear gate high enough that the mare cannot kick over it.
My vet(s) have rear gates and chest ropes.

Some breeding stocks have side doors that open for emergency exit or difficult loaders.
If you are going to to have foals at side, while palpating/ultra-sounding/breeding, you might as build that stall along with the breeding stock.

Might to post this thread on Sporthorse Breeding forum for more answers.
