Anybody going to the 10/31/09 VA horse auction?

Is anybody going to be going to the VA Hunter & Sport Horse auction on 10/31/09?
I am thinking of going down with my trailer and looking. I am just not sure if I am totally comfortable with buying one by myself in an auction.
I would love if somebody was going anyway and would be willing to offer me a reality check if I start to look at something really cute that is really the devil in the blue roan dress.
I will likely go home empty trailered since my budget is pretty low right now. I do have a very good idea of what I am looking for and what I like. I also tend to underestimate my riding ability rather than the other way around.
So anybody going to be there?

I am NOT going there, but that's good because I am a terrible enabler and will encourage anyone to buy a horse. :lol: An empty trailer needs to be filled.

There actually is another thread going on this subject, so I will be brief.

I think there is likely to be some very good bargains to be had at this auction. Horses tend to sell at very low prices in the fall auction based on what I have seen over the last 13 years. I do recommend pouring over the list and making a short list of horses you want to see. Also get the supplemental list and check those horses. Focus on the horses you have pre-selected. Don't get distracted by whatever else you see. Go check them out and do plan to ride any that interest you. I think if you have a very good idea of what you are looking for, then you should be just fine.

We will be at Morven, but for a club trail ride and not the auction. Hoping for beautiful weather though!!!
