Decided to pop into a tack shop today while I was in another town. I wanted to see if they have any tough winter breeches. Anyway, I found a pair that I liked, and took them to the changing room to try on. Got them on no problem, fastened the zip/button, and decided that they were a little too short in the leg.

Well, I got the button undone easily, but the zip would not move. I tugged it until I broke a nail, then decided to try sitting down. Still wouldn't move. By this time, I'd been in the changing room for almost fifteen minutes, my nail was bleeding, and I was still stuck in the breeches, which had proved to be a little too tight in the waist too.

The changing room was about four feet square, so no room to lay down on the floor. By this point, I was having thought of scissors and having to pay for a pair of breeches that were no use to me.

Somehow, I managed to yank the zip and get it open. I can tell you, I've never been so relieved to get out of a pair of breeches.

That happened to me at the mall once. I decided to venture into a Forever 21 type store (i.e. cheap trendy clothes) and picked up a cute top with a zipper. Put it on, decided I didn't like it. Could NOT get the zipper down for the life of me. I started getting claustrophobic as I was surrounded by teenie boppers discussing their life problems in the surrounding rooms. Finally, after much struggle found the dressing room clerk. Her reply? "Hang on let me grab some scissors. This happens all the time". Yea...had to stand there while she cut the damn thing off. Have yet to try on any zippered item in that type of store since.

So I feel your pain!!

Why is it that the ONLY females who actually look decent in breeches are over 5'10 and under 120 lbs? It's depressing!

My friend got her foot stuck in a tall boot she was trying on at a tack store....an hour later they finally had to cut it off. (The boot, not the foot!)

I really, really did not want to come out of the changing room and find the assistant- she was one of those perfect-not-a-hair-out-of-place types...

They live at tack stores! What's the deal?! They're the same ladies that come to the barn wearing white and pearls, muck a stall or seven, ride a few horses, and still look better after all that than I did when I got there... These ladies also tend to come off of international flights looking they were resting at a 5 star hotel and just had their clothes freshly pressed... Jerks, haha.

I've been stuck in clothes at the cheapie stores before too. Forever21, happened at H&M... Usually it's shirts. They go on fine, but you have to dislocate a shoulder to get them off, haha. Then you start freaking out and thinking you'll have to rip it off, and the dressing rooms are so small! I usually figure if I rip a seam, nobody will notice or care. I mean, those clothes are really not usually meant to be worn more than a handful of times anyway = )
