Friendly Reminder from the Deeply Cynical:
When you're trainer-shopping, always, always, ALWAYS check the USEF suspension list!
I was about to place a phone call to a trainer new to the area that I didn't know, and my cynical side came out and checked the Ugly List. Sure enough, there trainer is... So then I snooped further and came to find out that DESPITE being on the Ugly List, trainer actually took a whole string to a rated show last week! :eek: :eek:
At this point, it doesn't even matter to me personally what the trainer was suspended for: it matters a LOT that the trainer worked around the rules and trained at rated shows and showed suspended horses anyway. :no:
