had one of those days where you just want to go back to bed, pull the cover over your head and hope that tomorrow will start out better? Well this is NOT one of those days. In fact I keep waiting for the lightening to strike because things couldn't have gone better.........well unless I am to find out I won the powerball last night

I had two awesome back-to-back lessons on Monty (Desert Moon Champignon, currently competing at PSG) & Cosmo (Cariad Cosmopolitan, welsh cob x morgan mare working second level/competing at first level) this morning and then it was time to test fate and ride the three year olds. My gelding, Merlin, has been on stall rest for just over 3 months due to an injury received in turnout (horse fell on him) and my stallion (Resolute) is coming along slowly but surely. Today I walked and trotted my gelding (previously backed late spring) and went solo after being lunged on my stallion. May not seem like much to some but I can't stop grinning. These two boys are much more than I could have hoped for. I'm definitely looking forward to the future

Here are some shots of Merlin (Pro A Myrddin) bred by Tamara in TN (out of my former mare...........had to add that )

Congratulations! Small potatoes to some, yes, but if makes YOU happy, does anyone else really matter?

Thanks! I have to keep everything in perspective and those short term goals really make all the difference

That smile says it all, as well as the bright, happy look in your horse's eye. You have found the true joy of riding, eh?:D

Your horses are gorgeous, you are positively beaming - remember this feeling when you have a day that is not so good!
