Last year I asked the COTH community about trainers that freelance and will come to my barn to give lessons. I never really found anyone suitable. I am looking for a hunter/equitation trainer that will travel to my barn in Fairport, NY.

My barn is private and allows outside trainers (there is no main trainer). There is also an indoor and I would want lessons/training rides, even in the winter. I have been riding for over 20 years and my horse and I show in the adult hunters/equitation.

I would like a flexible trainer who travels to both local and "A"s, has proven track record of experience/success, and has the ability to do training rides him/herself (or someone competent who works for them).

If anyone has any recommendations, it would be GREATLY appreciated!

I know someone who might be interested. I just tried to call her to tell her about your post. What barn are you at, if you don't mind my asking. You can PM me if you want to. Just want to give her as much information as possible. She keeps her horse at a barn in Webster.

I grew up in Ra-chacha and rode with Jack Fromme, well a long time ago. Is Jack still active? He was da chit when I rode in the late 60's and 70's. Only indoor I believe in the area at that time.
What about Gail Lehman? Right across the Thruway in Mendon Ponds?

Maybe you can trailer to buffalo to Suzie Schoellkopf as a last option?

Jack Frohm is still around but Mark does most of the training now. I would highly recommend him :)

Spelt the Frohm name wrong. smack! Long time memory draw I will elude to as an excuse. :0)
Jack is tops. So is Carl and Mark from what I remember.
Great polo players. Viginia nights!

Glad to hear Mark is still in it. I have the BEST memories of riding there as a kid.

Ungowa. The dog.
