My young grey boy had a 1 centimeter OCD lesion removed from his shoulder last July......he started treadmilling about 3 weeks ago so I went to visit and took some pictures. It was really cool to watch. I cannot thank Mike from High Brass Farm enough for taking such good care of my boy. It has taken the worry out of rehab for me. He will be treadmilling awhile longer....it is fascinating to watch!

That is really neat!!! Thanks for posting. I wish my rehab involved something other than swabbing suture sites with antiseptic solution, taking heart rate and temps and checking feet for heat and pounding pulses!!!! All kidding aside, I am beyond thankful that my boy is coming home tomorrow - don't care what I have to do to help him recover. Best of luck for your beautiful boy!!!!

Thanks....and best of luck to you....what did yours do?
There was an event horse going on the treadmill right after my boy. My youngster is 3 so should be a full recovery <fingers crossed>

Those things look so cool! My gelding his on rest after pastern arthrodesis surgery. He hassn't really grasped the concept of rest so I pretty much have to give him 4ml of acepramazine orally every morning then 2ml at lunch and dinner. He still gets wild but reserpine and everything else I tried didn't work so it is the best I can do, which is really comforting when my surgeon "says movement is very detrimental. Anyways I am eager for three months follow up early November! Hopefully we can move to handwalking, boy would a tread mill ever be nice for that!

Best wishes for continued progress with your boy!!!!!

Boy you must have your hands full!
Pip had surgery July 6....after stall rest he hand walked for 10 minutes 2 times a day and started the treadmill to re-lengthen
his stride. the only slight lameness we had was a slightly shorter stride so this is to help that. The total rehab is 5 to 8 months....thank heavens he is young and good natured.....but this does "give him a job"
Rehabbing is so tough on them
