There are several dressage trainers in our area, if you can be a bit more specific I bet you will get a lot more suggestions, also are you planning to go to them? If so, you might have more choice, many times trainers prefer not to travel (especially in NVA traffic!!)

This list is in no specific order, just who I thought of:
Alison Head-Hamilton
Lauren Dearlove-Lovettsville
Stephanie Alvord-Waterford
Lauren Sprieser-Marshall
Pasqual Martin-Purcellville
Candy Allen-Haymarket (??)
Natalia Martin-Burke/Leesburg
Sarah Balinsky (I think is her name now, used to be Spofford-sorry I am butchering her spelling!)-Waterford
Andrea Martins (she used to be in Marshall)
Debbie Marriott-Lorton
Margo McCallister-Upperville

I am sure I have left out many others, sorry not intentional but as you can see, you have lots of choices.

Definitely willing to travel to them. Also, I am horseless, so a trainer with some great horses for me to use will be a plus.

Does anyone know if Kathleen Daniels still teaches? She did Centered Riding and was great back in the day. It has been a min since I have spoken to her but she was getting her stallion going and I dont even remember his name or if he is still a stallion now

Mary Flood in Lovettsville is excellent, and has a retired GP horse available for lessons.

Regina Zuehike-Hartwick teaches in No VA. She comes here to my barn to teach and train. I don't know what horses she has available to teach on, but I have several that may be options, depending on your experience level. Regina also teaches in Nokesville at Blue Top Farm, which is where her base is.

Regina passed her teaching certification in Germany, and also passed her judging exams thru the German equivalent of 4th level.

She is very helpful, and positive with her students. She is in Germany visiting her family at the moment, but should be back in a week or so.

Terry Smith at Riverside Equestrian www.riversideequestrian.org Great teacher, amazing facility (indoor!) and has horses available.

I can tell you first hand that she is VERY patient with former hunter riders!
