I heard that they are unfortunately getting rid of their equestrian facilities, all the boarders had to leave earlier this year. :(

I believe there are financial problems, due in part to the divorce of the owners.

Grand Central is one of my favorites http://hunterponies.com/thumbnail_farm.htm

My other favorite is Joe Fargis' place, can't remember the farm name, or if it even has a website. Both were featured in the same book though and are equally gorgeous and state of the art without being too elaborate

That place is gorgeous! Although I think I would get a complex with my horse living in nicer surroundings than me :)

They held the FEI Children's International competition at Hummingbird's Nest for a couple years... I showed in it one year, and it was both an amazing facility and production. Unfortunately, the year after I was there, I believe they began experiencing their familial and financial woes.

It really is too bad the place is not really being used to it's full potential. Definitely one of the nicest facilities I have seen.

I like looking at barn construction companies. Not all of the ones on this website are necessarily "awe" worthy, but some of them definitely have me daydreaming... ;)

What does "getting rid of their equestrian facilities" mean, they are tearing the barns down or something? Boy, that would be a shame. Not that I even live anywhere close to this place, but I hate to see a beautiful barn go to waste!

I think this is the company about to finish one of my clients' new places. She tore down her 8 stall single aisle barn (which was already beautiful) and replaced it with a U shape/courtyard style 30 stall facility that is absolutely amazing, and its not even done yet. I feel privileged that I get to teach there ;)

As beautiful as that place is, I must say my goal is to have a barn in Wellington. Every winter when we're down there I just droooool over those barns with all their tropical plants and open layouts and the fact that you can usually watch what's going on in the ring from the backyard of a nice house.

This year we are renting one for the circuit and I already know I'm going to get attached.

Wellington is wonderful :-D Im a little biased as I get to call one of those beautiful places home for 6 months. I still drool over the beautiful sprawling farms where all you can see is pasture and outside courses :-D. Those are a little hard to come by in Wellie world.

Don't mean to offend if you ride there. I feel like everywhere in Mississippi is the middle of nowhere as far as horse showing is concerned ;) And Providence was too far from Jackson for me to board there. Did trailer in for a few lessons though, what fun!

http://www.dutchmasters.on.ca/ they build some beautiful places! :)

I work in a Dutchmaster's barn :) While there aren't any cathedral or mansion aspects to it, it's certainly nicer than anywhere I have lived before.

But I gotta say, every time I open one of these websites and look at the beautiful extra-wide cobblestone aisles they have, I shudder. They are only beautiful until you have to sweep them

So, I could get full training board in a equine palace Down South for what I pay for a run-of-the-mill barn in NJ? Thanks, y'all!

If you're talking about PHF, boarding really is a steal there for the quality of the facility. Of course, in the market down there it's definitely on the higher side.

Couldn't agree more - I worked at a stunning facility in Holland that had pavers inside and out...a concrete aisle has never looked so good ;)

How far is Providence Hill from Jackson?

They have a machine that you ride to sweep the aisles, it's like a riding lawn mower but it sweeps  It was 40 minutes from my house. Couldn't justify it when I could board 15 minutes away for considerably less, especially being in high school.

Not on quite the same level as some of these barns, but certainly unique, and beautiful in its own right:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/3h_equestrian/page2/

The owner is Colombian, and all of the tile was imported from there. Its absolutely gorgeous!

Oh yeah, and the horses in the fountain are all stallions that have stood at the farm, created by an artist in Columbia. Most of the pictures of the courtyard were taken while it was still in the building phase.
