So far I have two quotes to ship a yearling gelding from TX to WA in a box stall. One shipper will take about 4 days and will stop for an 8 hour rest period each night. The second shipper will drive straight through and take about 2 days. I am not sure which method will be easier on this young guy. Any advice? Also looking for more recommendations of good shippers. Thanks in advance!

I personally would rather have them go straight through. 20 min stops for gas, etc....but I'd rather get them where they need to be.
I shipped mine from IA to TX and then TX to MI...box stalls....and did it in 2 days (pro hauler). That seemed to work pretty well.

Check out Equine Express. They'll most likely go straight through, and that would be my preference for a yearling.

Ditto. They are based in TX. I've used them twice. Once to ship 5 horses from VA to TX and once to ship them back. I was very happy both times.

Loved Equine Express. They were great about keeping me updated on pony's condition.
I would not use the company that starts with H. Unless you have a vet waiting for the trailer.

With a young horse, I prefer overnight stops.
I love Wegner Ranch. Ray does a great job hauling and handling the horses. (509) 968-4949
