I know ice/cold hosing probably works better than anything, but it's so wet here that I hate to use more water right now. I just want my boy to dry out for a while!
My stables tack room doesn't have a freezer so keeping ice is tough, plus I always forget to bring it from home.
So what is out there that really cools the legs? Anything? Or do I just need to write a note on the front door- BRING ICE IDIOT- so that I don't forget ice when I leave to ride?

Poultice or Iso Tite gel

Agree, poultice. I like to ice or cold hose and while the leg is still cold apply the poultice. In my world, the poultice keeps the cold in... could be, could be not

You can also mix alcohol with absorbine and salt crystals, paint that on the leg, then ice, then poultice. Nothing will keep the legs cooler than that.
