Very sad. Hope they get homes.

Wow, just seen the pics- they all look very thin to me. Wonder what their story is?

Did anyone click on the pics and read the descriptions?

Size- Large
Hair-short
Tail-long
rt ear-erect
left ear-erect

They need to make a horse description not use the format for dogs.

Hope these guys get homes.

Has anyone contacted the Lake County chapter of CDS?

For reference, Lake County is one county north of Napa, so within reach of the Bay area.

They are thin, especially the poor mare, but would be stunning with some groceries. I wonder too what their story is. Also, what is the shelter's policy if they don't find homes? Will they be euthed or sent to auction?

What the hell, they sell to the highest *bidder*? No standard adoption fee? All sales FINAL? What kind of a dump is this?

That QH with all the chrome is cute with a capital C, only 4? This is a shame.

Will they be euthed or sent to auction?

I believe they will go to auction, as does other unclaimed livestock from the shelter.

As of Friday, these horses did not have homes, or "bids," and the shelter will not euth --- they will take them to the Roseville or Petaluma livestock auctions.

Please call the Lake Co shelter for info.

Thanks for keeping this alive. I was away all weekend, but this email came from a friend. I guess people have also been sending this email around as they are nice horses and it would be a shame if they went to auction.

I can barely afford my one horse living and boarding in the Bay Area.
