View Full Version : Old issues of Practical Horseman?

Anyone have old issues of Practical Horseman laying around. Specifically I need
September 1982. There is a very good demonstration of how to tie a stock tie
the right way. Our local pony club needs a copy and mine has been through
the copy machine too many times. I tired to scan it, but it's just too dark.

Let me know.

How about this?

Or this?

That sure was easier than digging out my 1980's supplies of PH!! (Because you KNOW I still have them...)

OMG - I think I have this very article!!

I have this binder that I always take everywhere with me. It has various sections for Coggins/HC, Dressage Tests, my USEA Rulebook, handy phone numbers, and I have an article my mom tore out of a magazine on tying a stock tie. It may not be the exact article you cite, but I'll check.

If it is, I'll gladly scan it and email it to you.

I actually have back issues starting with 1980, however, I pulled a few of them out to make copies of "how to's" and "stable skills" and didn't put them back. They must be in another box that I haven't located yet. My husband built me a really nice wooden tack truck from a pattern that was in one of those old Practical Horsemans.

Okay, I was wrong. My stock-tying article is from a very old Dressage Today issue.

It has photos and step-by-step instructions. I can still send it if you want. :-)
