My mother lives in Fort Pierce where she breeds akhal tekes and akhal teke crosses. She has a very promising akhal teke/mustang cross whose akhal teke father has done 100 miles endurance rides. The gelding is three years old (I think, maybe he is four?) and she wants to keep him but would like him to be used as a competitive endurance horse. Since she is herself in her mid 70's, it clearly is not going to be her doing the riding!
Are there any experienced endurance riders in Florida who are interested in training and competing a promising young horse? Or perhaps someone can put me in touch with an endurance riders organization in Florida?
Thanks!!!
