I'm currently attempting to reschool an older (14 yr old) broodmare. I'm not going to be breeding any longer. She is having quite a bit of trouble in the hind end. My vet did a lameness exam, and she believes her problems are high up in the pelvis/SI area. I have to agree. I've been doing accupuncture with her, but I'm not getting very far with that. So, does anyone know of a good chiropractor in the Delaware area?

I use Dr. Mende- http://www.wolfcreekequine.com/ who travels to Delaware on Wednesday. She is also a vet and does an excellent job at helping horses through chiropractic but also practical in her approach to veterinary issues.

Thanks Jess, I used to use Dr Mende before she moved across the bridge. I'll give her a call, and see if she could do anything for this girl. Right now, the plan has been bute and azium when needed, and TRY to get her fit to tighten up the back end. 7 years off and 5 foals doesn't do much to keep them in working condition. I've really want to get her so she can at least be a nice trail horse, so she can be placed in a good home.
