I rescued a very skinny, beaten 8 yr old. chestnut TB mare that was heading to slaughter 3 months ago. She is 16 hands. She has old tendon issues from racing. As of right now she is not sound for riding. She lost both shoes after I got her and her feet got extremely short. She was just reshod 2 weeks ago. She is still walking around lame.I do beleive with time she could be ridden again, but her feet are healing from being so short. For a TB she does have nice feet though. They will grow out. I really just want her to find a great home with someone that has lots of pasture for her to live on. She can be turned out 24/7. She is filling out nicely and has come to trust me. She really is a nice mare, she just needs lots of love and attention. She could prob. be used as a broodmare too. I do not have her papers, but she is tattooed.
