A student of mine has finally decided to place his horse. He wants a GOOD HOME for this guy, he has learned alot with him but needs to move on. He is a 14 yr old supposedly TB/saddlebred cross, about 16.1 but not a big built horse. He has taught this guy from complete beginner, but I wouldn't really call him a "beginner" horse exactly has he has his moments! But as a husband horse for trail riding he is excellent (going along with another horse). He is good for low level dressage and SMALL jumps, he just doesn't want to jump anything bigger than 2 feet and he isn't suitable to jump cross country, just doesn't like it, although he loves trail riding. He tends to move very close behind and wears boots on ankles as e can rub. Sometimes stiff in hocks, but never really lame. GOod home imperative, located close to Raleigh NC. Needs home asap, not in danger of going to auction etc, but he needs to place him in order to replace him, as he wants to event.

We're looking for horses for a college program. Would he be appropriate? We're located outside of Greensboro

No I think this horse needs a nice, one owner, trail riding situation. Although eh tolerates SOME ring work, He can get bored in a ring situation all the time and then he can get very balky.
