Hey all,

I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a decent pro horse shipper? I need my horse to go from CO to KS sometime in the next two months or so.

I second the suggestion of Nationwide.

I third for Nationwide, did a great job with my horses and they are near Colorado Springs.

I would NOT recommend Nationwide. They were 5 days late in picking up my horse, no communication from them whatsoever... The driver then drove from CO to VA non-stop, in 24 hours straight, with my horse in a 6 horse slant load that did not have air-ride. Driver was clearly exhausted as he was alone and drove the whole trip. I was pissed, needless to say. I have since heard other related experiences with Nationwide.

I've heard of problems with Nationwide, but when we hauled horses with them, they have done us well....even with stallions and mini's.

We used Double L Transport to haul a filly to NM. Louie was FANTASTIC. He did our filly great, was in constant contact, and he's based out of Colorado. AND super affordable. (719) 429-3106 lmvelasco2000@yahoo.com http://www.doublelhorsetransport.com/

We used one other hauler I highly recommend, but he was from CA and I have to find his info. He's more for XC hauls. He did fantastic with an old toothless wonder- no qualms about feeding beet pulp on the road to the east coast and the vet on the receiving end said the horse was in 100% condition upon arrival.
