View Full Version : TOTD Shires Norfolk zipper dress or field boots - anyone have them?

They are $117 on TOTD. I could really use a pair of zipper dress boots. Does anyone have these? I'm sure they aren't like my Monacos, but there's a reason I only have one pair of those! Are these okay? Useful? Or total crap, will fall apart after three rides?

I want to order these as well from TOTD for my husband who is just beginning to ride and just needs an "intro" pair of boots.

They seem to have lots of calf options which is nice!

If I'm reading it correctly, the height is way off. If you wear a size 6 for example, the boot would be way too short.

i think if you use the traditional way of measuring to the back of the knee, it seems right height wise.

Am I reading it incorrectly? I read that as being 16.32 tall for a size 6 foot and that's 2" too short for me and I'm a pretty standard size.

I'm 5'2'' with a size 6 foot, so they would fit me absolutely perfectly at 16whatever inches. But then again my Ariats had to be ordered in the "short" size, so it seems that I have a shorter than average calf..

That's what I thought. I'm 5'4" and my Ariat Crownes are regular calf, tall.

I must be measuring incorrectly (which is entirely possible because of massive doses of Vicodin this week from a little horsey accident) I wear size 10 or 11, and the site says those would be 17.92 tall.

My Monacos are talls, which on the Ariat size chart means they are 20" tall. If I measure from the floor to the back of my knee (bent) I'm getting about 18". So is the height "off" for the smaller sizes, am I measuring incorrectly, or something else?
